For our October program, Heather Olmstead told us about her time spent in Lutsel K'e (North of Yellowknife) and Hay River. In Lutsel K'e she joined a group that met every Thursday that worked on various projects such as crocheting, beading and knitting.
She displayed some of the items she had made or bought while in the north. The bead work is often particular to a community such as the Lutsel K'e flower.
She entertained us with stories of the community life, activities and local customs.
Debbie C was the winner of the paper piecing project pieces from last month. Ethel was the winner of the fat quarter draw. Winner of the Sackville fat quarter draw was Heather.
