March meeting and swap

Our March meeting was a swap, where we asked members to bring fabric, notions and any other crafty type things they didn't want any more. We set up tables to display all the items as people brought them in. We eventually had to set up a total of FIVE tables to hold it all!

Rather than have a huge free for all with everyone grabbing things at once, we drew groups by last name initial. This seemed to work really well. By the end, we had two garbage bags left for donations.

Then the ever popular show and tell.

Heather made a knitting needle roll from a placemat / table runner purchased finished from Walmart.

She made a quilt for her son.

Heather also participated in the Desert Sky workshop and got hers quilts by Ridge Machine quilting and bound in time for the meeting.

More needle rolls.

Linda made log cabin runners to use up scraps.

Janet made a bag.

Jelly roll race, still popular.

More bags.

Tshirt quilt, not made by Janet but she did bind it.

Dresden Neighbourhood

Another desert sky, just the top.

Scrappy baby quilt to go with a bed size shown at last meeting.

Canada quilt

A very long runner.

Another attic window, this time from Kathy.

New bed quilt from Kathy, with an ocean theme.

Sheep quilt from a panel.

Placemats with Christa.

Cozy flannel quilt.

One block wonder! We have a workshop on this coming up in April.
