Comfort quilts and community projects!
We provide quilts for those going through a hard time - that they might find comfort in a quilt - either through the texture of the quilt or through the knowing someone is thinking of you and cares enough to gift you a quilt. (at least thats what I think :))
Here are some of the quilts made for these initiatives!
One of Andrea’s kits made by Kathy Hildebrand and bound by Toni O’Brien.
Joyce hasnt decided yet but this will likely be a Comfort Quilt This was made by Rita Schmidt!
They say many hands make light work - and this is the truth with this quilt!
Blocks made by Ruth during COVID. At our Betty Doherty Workshop Day, Doreen and Jodi cut out blocks and batting for this quilt as you go. Jodi did decorative quilting on each block and Betty put it all together for this reversible quilt.
Our guild comfort quilt committee (Joyce and Ruth) have really done an excellent job in getting quilts for the Tiny Home Community in Fredericton. We have encouraged other guilds to also contribute to this great cause.
Here are two quilts donated from the Elm City Quilt guild:
The next 5 quilts are from the Fredericton Quilt Guild - they are also donated to the Tiny Homes project!
