Didn't we have a tremendous time at the Quilt Show?
I have a few photos to share with you here- if you missed it - it was so much fun!
In case it wasn't obvious - we had a 50's theme! Quilt around the clock - a play on the words 'Rock around the clock!'
From the Elvis Quilt hanging in the entry to the blue and white checkered floor the ladies out did themselves! *wink* *wink*
We had help from a number of committee members as well as some spouses!
Look at the jukebox created for us by Susan Fearon! That girl has talent! It played music all show long!
Some of the details were so fun!
Did you get yourself a snack? We had ice cream floats, sundaes and cookies! thank you Debby Delong for your work in the kitchen!
Our bed turning was a great success!!! A few times during the show we would do a presentation of the quilts on the bed - they were stacked high and each had its own story to tell! Which was your favorite?
Our guild always presents a challenge for our quilt show - something for the members to work on. This time it was 'stripe mania' - I love how everyone interpreted differently!
Our members market really was a feast for the eyes as well! Here is a fraction of what we had displayed!
Phewf the ladies did an excellent job once again! We heard many many compliments and we were so excited to have so many people come out to visit us!!
I may get my hands slapped for showing this one - but this is some of the ladies taking a little break on Thursday evening :) Marilyn Calhoun - I hope that that GREEN cashbox didn't stay there the whole show? :0
GREAT WORK LADIES!
PS: The quilts voted 'favorites' will have their own blog post coming up in the next few days!!! Keep an eye out!
thanks for looking!!!
