May 2017

This months program was a visit from Jo at Christmas Crab Quiltery . She shared some new patterns and information about her shop and her soon to be online shopping web page.



 
 



 
 
After our business meeting and a short break, we had Show & Tell.
 
Ella showed us number 44 and 45 versions of her necessary clutch
 
 
Debbie did a great job on this baby quilt for a friend.


Kathy H had taken a stained glass applique workshop and wanted to try
a butterfly so she designed one herself!


Joyce made a rag quilt from baby material she had on hand.
 
she also made neck coolers she fills with water crystal beads tat can be used to cool gardeners and golfers. She made a number of bandana bibs for baby's that drool a lot!

Andrea and her husband Ron (and a new member) have both been busy practicing on their new long arm machine. They at now ready to do quilts for others!

First is a comfort/charity quilt from Kathy and quilted by Ron.

 
Andrea did this top a few years ago in a hexagonal spiral. Ron quilted it free style.


This was from a free quilt pattern on Craftsy called Clamshell. Andrea quilted this on Saturday

 
Rosemarie won this quilt done by Connie Fullerton  from the Hospice Boutique tickets sale.



Rosemarie made this for grandson "Quinn" . Pattern came from  a book but she changed the designs. the back was from left over fabrics and will work like an "I spy"


this quilt will be a 20th anniversary gift for children and was quilted by the Ladies Morning Out group. She says they will receive it before their 22nd anniversary.


Debbie C has been busy again. She made a wallet at the workshop Andrea
did and then went home and made another one.


 Debbie saw this pattern for a baby quilt so pieced a blanket and then added the applique.
 
She also started 36 quilt as you go blocs so we should see that quilt soon.  She did this kaleidoscope. It went together wasil but was only 70x70 so she added borders. she will do another one of these in navy and white. It was machine quilted in Saint John  


Darcy saw something she liked on line and used it for inspiration and
did this one called it "Blue skies Ahead"

 
she also completed another order for her McKenna pattern.
