June 2017

Or June meeting was a potluck at the Keswick Community hall. As usual, there was a perfect mix of yummy dishes we all enjoyed.

Marilyn gave us a tip when displaying her Farm girl block with a hay wagon and bales. when making snowballs (for her wagon wheels) you need to stich just to the side of the center line and be consistent.

Debby  says when she is doing half square triangles, she put true grips on the rule and it raised it enough to be able to cut more easily on the centre line.

Debby did two baby quilts with a charm pack; she split then up and added some white squares.

Ethel's Elvis quilt is now completed. The ladies morning out group did the hand quilting for her.

Ella has now made 54 wallets and also made a new Ella bag

Lise used many different fabrics to make this quilt that will be donated to the Carleton street library for a fund raising draw.

This quilt was pieced by Toni for a nephews birthday and quilted by Andrea.

Andrea used this panel to see how dense she cold quilt using the freestyle on her longarm. she says she bought two panels and ron will do the next one.

This is the first quilt Ron has done from beginning to end! since it was a modern quilt he decided to use a traditional pattern so chose the clamshell design.

JoAnn's sister Carolyn did this stunning French Braid quilt

Sandra chose this panel to quilt and then used the Canadian flag pattern from Gail Mitchells
class to do this Canada 150 quilt.

Barb started this at retreat and a friend of hers quilted her One Block Wonder.
