As many guilds do,
we provide many quilts or other handmade items to the community. Community or
“Comfort Quilts” is a term used to describe the donation of quilts to those in
need.
For 2014-2016 our
group has made a commitment for a group project to support Hospice
Fredericton. Hospice Fredericton is building the region’s first residential
hospice—a safe and medically supported environment where patients facing
end-of-life care challenges can spend their last days in comfort and peace,
surrounded by family and friends. Providing
quilts for these patients is a means of keeping them warm as well as showing
care and caring.
Keswick
Ridge Quilters will provide 20 bed quilts to Hospice Fredericton. Below are some of the completed projects.
