June Pot Luck and Wrap-Up Meeting
We welcomed our members, some former members and also a new member, a great ending to our year!
First we enjoyed the potluck, then a bit of business and a spirited Minute-To-Win-It game organized by our incoming president, Melanie. We do have a competitive group!

In our Fat Quarter Draw they added a few prizes for those who have never been drawn before. One member had their ticket drawn three times in a row and then was the lucky person drawn for never having had their name drawn before that night!
Two of our completed hospice quilts were displayed with a special thank you to the two groups
who donated time to hand quilt the hospice quilts. They had been invited to share our meal.

We ended the evening with Show & Tell

KRQ Raffle Quilt Tickets Now On Sale!
Members are now selling tickets on this Modern Log Cabin Quilt done by members at their retreat.
$3.00 each or $2 tickets for $5.00. Draw in December 2015.

May Meeting - Elections & Survey
May is the month we elect our new executive and we surveyed members to understand KRQ member preferences. We talked about the upcoming quilt show plans and then moved on to show & Tell
Elizabeth finished the quilt she began at retreat and her Mother, Ruth hand quilted it for her.
This is Olivia's retreat quilt with a jelly fish appliqué
Olivia completed her Folded Star runner as one of her UFO projects
Ella displayed the curved log cabin quilt she made that was being raffled
to raise funds for the Ellegood family.
This is a baby's comfort quilt made by Brenda, Joy and Marcy and quilted by Tina that was donated
to Forest Hill School to raffle for a fundraiser.

Toni finished this huge king size quilt called "Circle Dance" as a wedding gift,
with colours requested by the fortunate couple.
