Getting Items Finished

December is the month for getting things finished and giving them to those we care about.

Gisele is really enjoying using the longarm and has completed a couple of full size quilts. She is pleased with how it is going and feels ready to do some quilting for others. Here is a queen size “tube” quilt that she started at our workshop led by Andrea.

Joyce has been very busy making things for Christmas. She has been knitting gifts, making fleece hats and slippers, and has made a jewelry case.

Marilyn reports she has not done much sewing this fall. She finished a jelly roll quilt started a number of years ago at a retreat. This has gone to Baltimore to her daughter for Christmas.

And here is a quilt for Marilyn’s new granddog, Frankie.

Marilyn made her mailed gift to her grandson (who she has not gotten to visit in over a year) more fun by having the parcel wrapped with a chain and lock. There were 8 clues to be solved to find the key, which was to be frozen in an ice cube. Lots of fun!

Ruth has made a Christmas themed quilt for each of her daughters. Christina received ‘Vintage Christmas’, a pattern she spied on Pinterest and liked.

Alicia and Andrea received ‘Those Trees’, one as shown and one done in shades of cream and beige.

Linda has been very busy. She quilted this quilt for her daughter-in-law.

This quilt means that all of Linda's grandsons will now have a cozy, flannel quilt.

Other items made for the season include two knitted afghans, a table runner and several cushions.

Kathy H completed a wall hanging to put in her family Yankee Swap.
