After enjoying a wide variety of food our game show hosts – Heather and Joyce led us in a game of trivia fun!!!  The prize was a Lindt chocolate, so we all tried very hard to get the answer correct.

Before our show and tell we did a tour of the room and identified the lovely pieces hanging on our walls for the meeting.

This colorful quilt belongs to Christa Gunn who was our greeter for the evening.  This was a project that she worked on our retreat in February this year.

This too was Christa’s and this wonderfully color coordinated Christmas tree is from our November 2022 workshop.  Love the gradually flow of colors.

This beautiful mini charming Christmas tree wall hanging was created by Heather.  The fabrics are all part of a collection and came together very nicely.  She did a flange binding on this piece and if you zoom in closely you can see the little white strip along the outside.  Great job Heather.

This Dresden Village belongs to Jodi who added a cute little addition of smoke coming from the chimney’s of a few of the houses.  I enjoy the deep blue background Jodi… nice job.

This quilt is for the comfort quilts and definitely for a man as there are big ships in each row.  I didn’t catch all of the details on this but I think the fabric was from one of our fabric swaps.

Elaine and her cousin Helena attended the mini charming Christmas tree workshop held on November 25.  The quilting on this piece looks sharp and is an easy pattern to follow.

This gorgeous quilt is a Judy Niemeyer pattern and the cattails really are a nice touch to the quilt.  Heather worked on this quilt at our retreat in October.  Her husband, David, keeps telling her she needs to put labels on her quilts so for this one she did one that says “Cattails in the Meadow” pattern by Judy Niemeyer.  Pieced by heather Olmstead 2022-23.  Quilted by Gwenda Mattinson ’22.

This lovely quilt was made by Colleen.  The colors are stunning and the backing equally impressive.  This quilt is for Colleen’s mother and I am 100% sure she is going to love it.  The quilting was done by Cherie MacMullin.

Speaking of Cherie MacMullin, this is a quilt that she and Joyce Humble did for a lady in Nova Scotia.  It was at the Quilt Canada event and with her “Sure I can do that” attitude Cherie took on the task.  Each square is 1-2/3” unfinished and there are 7,000.  I wouldn’t attempt this in a million years.  Fabulous job Cherie and Joyce!!

Well Debby finally got around to doing a quilt for her bed.  These delightful batiks make this quilt a masterpiece.  The colors are lovely and it is no surprise as Debby does a wonderful job on all of her quilts.

Our little elf Jodi shared with us the embroidery that she tried recently.  This was a kit and the fabric that it was done on was soft and more flexible than aida.  A couple of the members showed interest in learning the basics of embroidery… stay tuned it may be a guild gathering in the future.

Look at this magical mini charming Christmas tree wall hanging created by Betty.  The background is a deep navy with gold sparkles in it.  The treetop is a cute little star button that she got from a fat quarter draw.  Beautiful work Betty!

This beautiful table runner was a mystery quilt hosted by Danielle Richard of Chloe’s Quilting Café in St.-Louis-De-Kent.  The fabrics are scraps from another one of Betty’s works of art.  This would make a lovely Christmas gift Betty 😊
